I am a theatre director, educator and dramaturg of animated objects, specializing in performances for children, young people, and intergenerational audiences. My artistic practice combines theatre, movement, visual arts, and participatory methods. I am fascinated by the relationship between the body, objects and space — I search for stories hidden in everyday materials and for awakenings in what appears to be inanimate.
I create inclusive, mindful experiences that spark dialogue, play and critical thinking. I believe that through art, I can fight for children’s rights and agency. I treat the stage as a space of intimacy, resistance, and tender revolution — where magical realism meets social engagement.
I am currently a literary specialist at the Warszawska Opera Kameralna. As an artist, I collaborate with theaters and institutions in Poland and abroad, including in Germany, the Czech Republic, Latvia, and the United Kingdom. I am also active in documentary filmmaking and continue to develop through artistic residencies. My projects have been presented at festivals such as Visioni di futuro (Italy), NORMA (Czech Republic), and Millennium Docs Against Gravity (Poland).
At present, I am working on a performance for preschool-aged children titled Living Paper, exploring nonverbal ways of communicating with children in theater, with research support from the Canon Foundation. I am also developing a documentary film about the relationships of children at Polish military camps. I co-direct the film Playing War with Piotr Pluta, and it is produced by Munk Studio.
